Conduct, Procedures & Etiquette
PURPOSE
To facilitate a friendly environment and enhance the enjoyment of the members and guests; to set forth common sense guidelines for conduct and etiquette and describe procedures for addressing serious infractions.
CONDUCT
Unstrung Racquets will be bound by the guidelines in the Code of Conduct and On Court Rules as published by the USTA. These regulations and suggestions for conduct are approved for tournament play and rely on the use of lines people and a referee. The club expectation is that members and guests will know these guidelines and follow them in a sportsmanlike manner. All disputes will be resolved by either the Open Tennis Chairperson or the Tournament Chairperson.
Good manners and behavior are expected and offensive language is not acceptable. Racquet throwing or hitting balls indiscriminately is prohibited.
As a primarily singles social tennis club, we take pride in the many lasting relationships and enduring friendships that have been formed through membership in the club. In an effort to promote a safe environment, we encourage every member to be aware of the sensitivities of other members and guests.
